American Powertrain Hydramax Clutch Systems Now Available for Mustangs
Posted by Chad Reynolds / Bang Shift

American Powertrain’s new Hydramax Clutch System is bad assed, and is now available for first-gen Ford Mustangs. This system, which is available for GM and Mopar vehicles as well, provides a complete and easy bolt in hydraulic clutch actuation system that includes everything from the pedal all the way to the throwout bearing. The best part is they include billet aluminum assemblies and steel reinforcements that require not cutting of your car at all. For the Mustang crowd, they get rid of all the headache of trying to fit the power brake unit, clutch master and all that in a very small space.

We’ll be running on in our project ’66 Bel Air wagon later this year, and have see multiple installations. As usual, American Powertrain has hit another one out of the park with all the new Hydramax systems, and even has setups for you guys that want to run a Muncie, Top Loader, T10, or whatever. All the details are below.

New HYDRAMAX Hydraulic Clutch System

For First Gen Mustangs

July 9, 2012 (Cookeville, TN) The tight tolerances of the 1965-66 Mustang along with an intrusive brake master or booster give first gen owners fits when fitting a master cylinder for hydraulic clutch applications.  Now, hydraulic  clutch specialist American Powertrain has a purely bolt-in answer in their new HYDRAMAX system for early Mustangs.

The new system features a billet aluminum firewall mount that looks great and is perfectly contoured to achieve the correct angle for the clutch  rod and a great firewall fit with or without power brakes.

Complete systems include American Powertrain’s new billet firewall mount with steel backing plate, the master cylinder with pedal rod and hardware,  APT’s HYDRAMAX hydraulic release bearing, a reservoir kit, lines and fittings.  Or, use your own slave with their master cylinder kit.

All HYDRAMAX products are made in the USA and are covered by American Powertrain’s 2-year warranty and exclusive Customer First 24-Hour tech support.

American Powertrain, a TREMEC Elite Distributor located in Cookeville, TN,  manufacturers and sells ProFit modern overdrive transmission systems, Science Friction clutches and flywheels, Hydramax hydraulic clutch systems, X-Factor Cross Members and thousands of powertrain accessories for muscle, sports, street rod and race cars.

I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!
