Underhood Detailing
« on: June 11, 2010, 09:35 PM »
1. What is a good way to use Croftgate USA Products to help me show-detail my engine compartment safely, quickly and with that Croftgate USA clean-bling shine? I have yet to get under the hood with serious detailing with my product set.

THANKS! :)

Johnny,

Croftgate USA has the perfect combination of easy to use products to get your engine bay show ready.....Multi Clean and yes.....Tire Shine!! Heres how we do it

1. Run the engine for 5-10 mins to warm it up.  We don't want it smoking hot but warm enough to where the heat will help loosen up the dirt and grime

2. Soak that bad boy with Multi Clean....every nook and crany

3. This is the only time you will hear us ask you to use a hose but it's necessary.  Rinse the engine bay with water. If you have an exposed intake you may want to wrap it with a microfiber towel but other than that it's safe.

4.  Drive the car a few miles to evaporate any standing water from the rinse

5. Now the Tire Shine.  You don't want to drench the bay here but mist it over the entire engine and let it fall.  More attention can be paid to hoses, wires, etc with a microfiber towel. Wipe out any left over grime, stand back, and enjoy a well earned smile

6. If theres any chrome or paint under the hood....nows the time to apply Quick and Slick

Get to It and Post the Results on our Facebook Page or the Forum!!!!

GREAT info., Jeff. Thank you for sharing! I'll be doing a photo shoot in the next week or so and will have these tips put to use. I'll be glad to post up the results in before/after pics on Facebook, Myspace, and the forums I'm on to share. Croftgate USA products have dramatically changed the way we are detailing our cars and we love it! I also have another project with a '68 Mustang and a SUV I'll be doing before and after shots of in using Croftgate USA products.

And... I cannot wait until Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach, SC, and for the Croftgate USA booth there and the Croftgate USA cruise-in at Fudruckers there at the beach! WOOHOO!!!
