Roush Performance continues Grand-Am momentum with second place finish at Road America

Coming off of their second win of the season at Mid-Ohio early this month, the No. 61 Roush Performance Mustang Boss 302R driven by Jack Roush Jr. and Billy Johnson finished a strong second place at this weekend’s race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. The race featured seven caution periods that took out many of the top contenders including five of the BMW teams, and Roush’s Boss 302R finished a mere .611 seconds behind the winning Porsche 997 Carrera.



With the second place finish the No. 61 Roush Boss 302R moves to fourth place in the standings (up from 6th place), and both drivers are now fourth in the standings as well. Ford sits at second in the manufacturer’s points standings, six behind Porsche and three ahead of BMW.



The next Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge will be at Watkins Glen International from June 29-30.
