2015 Ford Mustang rendered with Evos design cues

2015 Ford Mustang rendered with Evos design cues
Source: www.MustangsDaily.com

Rumors continue to abound regarding the upcoming 2015 Ford Mustang, the latest being that the Blue Oval’s next generation pony car will rely heavily on design cues from the Evos Concept that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September of last year. It’s hard to imagine how the styling from the Evos would be implemented on the Mustang, but the folks over at Inside Line have given their best shot and released two new renderings of what they think the 2015 Mustang will look like. The design ticks off all the boxes of what’s supposed to be in store for the new Mustang – a shorter, smaller body with a more futuristic, sleeker design that retains the car’s signature items like the rear quarter windows and triple-lens taillights. According to the web site, a Ford insider told them the renderings are fairly close to the design of the production car.

Of course, a new exterior design will be only one of many changes coming to the 2015 Ford Mustang. It’s all but confirmed that a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine will have a place in the new Mustang’s lineup, although it’s yet to be determined if the 3.7L V6 will stick around. A new independent rear suspension will likely replace the current solid rear axle design, and Ford is doing its best to shed as much weight – possibly several hundred pounds. Finally, the new Mustang will be a true global car and will likely be marketed in several international markets and even be available in right-hand-drive for places like Great Britain.

YUSS! IRS! can't wait! and I'm excited to see this eco boost version too. ;D Also, I dont think that this design looks too bad, maybe the back needs some work to make it less like a charger.. but I really dont care because it still looks sick. I especially like the new shapes of the fronts and the rears.

I might just have to cry. Why? Why to my poor Mustang? The 2010 was a crap design. I am afraid for the future. Well, the future are ricers anyway. >.<

Think this rendering but closer to the current S197.2 Mustang and the S197.3 (2013) Mustang. As I was told it was said that the 2015 Mustang would be similar to the evolution between the 996 911 and the 997 911 with some Evos design cues.
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

Looks more aston martin then Mustang.  I'n my opinion, if they are going to restyle the car to be more modern, I would start from the fox body and go from there (maby thats because I am partial to them), but from the previous news about the redesign they were talking about how they were going to go a whole different direction, and to me the new renderings seem to be more lets fuse an aston martin with the 2013 Mustang design, not lets start from scratch.  It's gonna be interesting though, and I know a few inside secrets on the IRS, its gonna be wicked, and I want it for my Meteor!

It's a love/hate relationship for me. The very nose is pretty good, headlights have gotta change up, the back end is horrible.

Does anybody else see Audi R8 in the A pillar back roofline?
