Ford Shelby GT500 v Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 : Street & Circuit - CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
Published on Jul 4, 2012 by Drive

The two muscle-motors of the moment, head-to-head. Hard to imagine a factory warranted Mustang with 670hp, or a State-subsidised 580hp Camaro!

I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

LOL

I found this earlier, and decided not to post it because... well, because it makes me sad :( Same stuff we've been hearing from pretty much all the reviews.

Magazine editors seem to like "feeling" like winners vs. actually winning a real street race.

If you listen to what he says he crowns the GT500 the winner in this test, making it the a victory even though he likes the ZL1. He said he wants a car to rip his arms out, and scare his children and the GT500 is that car.

I have heard the same thing time and again over the years from the Europeans. They will chose a much slower car because it just "feels" right even though the competitor just waxed it on the track. I want to actually go fast and win and not just feel good about the car even though I just lost the race.

I have to agree with him on the Recaro seats in the Shelby or option on any 13 Mustang even though they are comfortable the ability to adjust them is off I thought I was too high in the seat the stock seats also very comfortable and have a lot more adjustment and seem to sit lower. I don't know why everyone seems to have issues with the short shift I love it but that could be the truck driver in me shifting is my life LOL.

Me too Midnight Pony, I drive about 2,500 miles a week on average and sometimes more if I have to run a double. I don't run over the road but drive for a private carrier and service several branches so my driving is regional.
