Well, I may not get nearly as much done on either Mustang in time for the Props N Ponies show as I had hoped - But, better to take the time to do it right...

McLeod clutch and flywheel will go in on Monday. It's purdy ;)

This Ford Racing intake will also be making it's way under the hood, thanks to our good friends at CJ Pony Parts!

And this is what my x-pipe should look like with the QTP electric cut-outs installed. Except mine is a ProChamber, so the cut-outs will be at more of a 45 degree angle towards the sides of the car.

More photos and updates to follow.

Awesome Bossman!! Becoming more of a beast all the time!!  It was a long week, but i got the stripped holes fixed in the diff and put the new Ford racing diff cover on there.  Now my exhaust hangs straight and not dropped towards the center... Giving me more clearance.  While i was at it, also put the full tilt boogie racing bushing kit in.  Re adjusted my rear shocks, put new 350lb springs up front to get rid of the soft 250 lb ones that were up there.  Made some tie ins for my stifflers brace to tie to body of the car and went out to get alignment done.  I like so far, but haven't driven much.  Pics to come later!  8)

Sorta Stockish!!

Finished the hotchkis install on the L

New springs and oem shackles

Oem spring compared to new

New stance - Truck is about 1.5" higher than before in the front, and about .5" lower in the rear than before.  It sits about as level as I could hope for.  Plus, with the replacement of oe springs with sport tuned springs, replacement of the belltech front springs which are just for show with some springs meant for go, and the new front swaybar the truck should hold a corner a lot better

The truck looks great Dusten. I believe that I read that you want to bring it out for a track day. If you do, let me know. Normally, you have to show proof of experience. However, I can get you past this obstacle without a problem.

Here is the schedule.

Will you be willing to ride along and offer some track driving tips?
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

Thanks for the offer Marc, but it will be 2014 before this sees the track. My schedule has me deploying in January till at least September of next year.  this year I'm gone from Friday till after labor day, and all of October and November.

RPM Member "Marc S" who is Marc Sorger of The Mustang Shop - TMS, sent me these pics from the RPM Mustang's diff build.

Pic 1 and 2;
Taking the diff apart.

Pic 3, 4 and 5;
Measuring pinion depth which came out to .053. By using the formula 2.50-.053+2.0-4.415=.032. gave the pinion shim thickness which was a .032 shim.

Pic 6 and 7:
Measuring backlash. For 2005- 2013 diffs, the Ford spec is .008-.010. Since the car will be driven hard on the road course, it's set it at .011.
