My understanding (which admittedly may be flawed) is that TMS let Andy go, because of TMS customers concern over his ability and other stuff. In talking to Marc (Who I trust and respect completely. He built his own car the same way he would build a customers, and it eats twin turbo Lambos on the track at Pacific and then goes and runs a 9 second quarter mile before driving him home daily) John Garner of the Horsepower Ranch is still always available for remote tuning. Think of it like when you call your internet service provider for a computer problem and they share your screen, taking control of your desktop and moving stuff around as though you were doing it yourself. He can view and operate their dyno just like this while tuning your car. All TMS has to do is work the gas pedal. So you still have the same guy tuning with the same equipment. That's one option.

There are other local dyno shops like Carb Connection and Marysville Speed that do dyno tuning, and I'm sure other folks here like Dusten and Germeezy probably know of others.

I don't know anyone local. I went with Eric Brooks @ Brooks Speed. He tunes my L remotely

You could contact Marc via PM on RPM or call him, and he should be able to set you up a time with John to remote tune. There are other alternatives like the one Dusten mentioned if you are not comfortable with that. John Garner also comes up here from time to time depending on what his schedule is.
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

Although John still does tuning, it's on a very limited basis.

I was not aware of the changes at TMS. What will TMS be doing as far as dyno tuning in the future?

We got out of public tuning for the same reasons that John did.

For now, we will only be tuning the custom mod motor swaps that we build, and customers cars if we install and sell the parts. Also, we will continue to do baselines, and dyno days for car clubs/forums.

I had heard this elsewhere.  Marc, what about past customers cars, are you still refining/updating them?

If you can hop over the border to Canada I use Tamer at SpeedPro in Surrey, BC.  He worked all the kinks out of and tuned my car.  Has working better than it ever has before and he now gets all the work I can't do myself.. ;)

Refining will be on a case by case basis. I'm not going to leave anyone hanging if their tune is not sorted out. If I decide to hire a full time tuner, at that time I will do updates to current tunes and take on new tuning business. The last thing that I will do is take someones money, and give them a product that I can't be proud of. Good tuners are hard to come by though, it could take a while to find one.
