New guy out of Tacoma, WA 98 Turbo 2V
« on: August 20, 2012, 09:50 AM »
Hey guys/gals,  I was introduced to this Forum by my buddy, Matt Kaiser.  Looking forward to getting to know some of you peoples on here and helping people out with their cars, or receiving help if needed.  I'm currently in the middle of my 98 turbo 2v build.  Here is a list of mods that I have currently done on the car.

MMR 7qrt sumped oil pan
Forged 3.75 stroker crank (double keyed)
Manley H beams w/ arp 2000 bolts
Manley Platinum series pistons with -23cc dish(with 0 decked block/44cc heads it's at 9.4-1)
block- 0 deck height, bored .020 over,
Mellings Billet oil pump
Foxlake ported TrickFlow track heat heads 44cc(solid bronze valve guides, and valve job done by Foxlake as  well)
MMR stage 3 turbo cams
Reichard Racing 2V intake Manifold
Accufab big oval throttle body
On 3 Performance forward facing turbo kit with 76mm ceramic BB turbo(will have diff turbo)
UPR Tubular K member
UPR Tubular A arms
Coil over kit up front, converted Tokico(which are going bye bye)
Ford Trac Lock w/ 3.73 gears(which are going bye bye as well)(used to be procharged so that's why those gears were in it)
Rear Seat delete

I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan now, and I am saving every penny for the parts list below.  The parts I list will be for sure purchases at the beginning of the year when I return home.

Precision Billet 7275 CEA Ball Bearing Turbo
Turbosmart 50mm wastegate
Turbosmart 50mm BOV
Full gauge package to include, boost(which will be a turbosmart eboost2), wideband, fuel pressure, and not sure on a 4th and not sure what style gauges yet
D&D T-56 Magnum conversion
Mccleod dual disc clutch(still debating on which one, probably the 1000hp one)
Detroit Tru Trac(31 spline)
31 spline axles(still not sure which ones)
3.55 gears
coilovers all 4 corners(probably the eibach kit)
And some other suspension goodies(still debating how far I want to go)

These are the mods that I will be saving for once I return to the states

Baer Brakes on all 4 corners
Stage 3 Snow Meth kit
Black Chrome FR500's 18's
Dark Star Racing Rims
Maxim Motorsports Bolt in Cage
Corbeau Racing seats
Corbeau 4 point Harness

I plan on blacking out everything on the car all the way down to the fog lights.  I'm going to do 20% tint all the way around and 30% on the entire windshield.  I have also made a custom logo out of the ford oval for the back of the car.  I have to redo it a second time due to messing with it before the acrylic was dry, but it's no biggie.  I've also pulled the GT 4.6 emblems off the sides and replaced them with Pony Tri-bar emblems that I masked off and painted just the pony black.  Also painted the front grill pony black.

I have high expectations for the car.  I'm hoping to make 600+hp on straight pump, 700+hp on pump gas with Meth, and hopefully try to push the 800hp mark on Meth and Race gas.

These are a few pics I have of the car, I haven't got much chance to take many yet, and these are old, but still pretty much what the car looks like.

Look forward to meatin some of you fellas when I return.  Take care.

Sponsors are welcome, lol.

Welcome , and I have watched your car pretty closely on Superior Stangs. When do you get back, and will you be able to attend some events?

Thank you guys for the welcome.  I should be back in DEC, or JAN time frame Germeezy and I plan on attending every event that I can.  I'm thinking the car should be on the road in the spring time.  Thanks for following my build.

Thanks alot guys.  You're not the only one that can't wait to see the rest of the build.  I've only gotten to drive my car for 3 days, lol.  It blew up 3 days after I bought it, so I decided that I would make it how I wanted it and not what someone else had made it.  So I sold the procharger and I'm doing it exactly how I want it, no short cuts.
