Yet another problem..
« on: July 11, 2012, 01:06 PM »
So lately my car has just been none stop throwing codes at me, and this most recent one.. Well I'm not so sure where to start with it, so I'm hoping one of you guys know a thing or two more than I do on this..
The code is p0190, the fuel rail pressure code.  Searching around I found that it could be the fuel pump, and I literally replaced that no more the 4 months ago.. I really don't want to have to buy anything to pricey either.. Kind of sick of spending every penny from my pay into fixing her.. Any help would be much appreciated!

The bigger question is what is the car doing at this point?
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

Weird thing is.. Is that it runs fine. Every now and then when it starts up, its like choked out for about a second, feather the gas an it's fine after that..  But driving wise it runs problem free..

Some auto parts stores will let you borrow their code scanner. Is that the only code that the car is showing at this point?

you need to get a gauge and check the fuel pressure.  Both high and low pressure can throw that code.  It could also be a failed sensor.

I may have the fuel rail pressure sensor if you need one.

I know it says COBRA all over it... but what engine is actually under the hood?

So hopefully it's just a sensor?
And lol the only cobra thing on it now is just the imprinted bumper.. Haha

Yaa I don't want anymore problems.. Getting sick with them happening every week..
