Mustang Vs The World / Finals of King of the Street at Lassiter Mountain Dragway 11/3/12

We had great fun last night at the drag races as there were multiple wheel-stands and one Mustang crashed in a grudge race. The driver was not hurt but the crash was spectacular, first video. I managed to win the 7.50 class and won another trophy and $100.00 so it was a great night, second video.

Here is a link to a video taken this past weekend at Lassiter Mountain Raceway Park near Birmingham, AL. My 2012 Roush RS3 automatic taking on a new 2013 GT500, yes the 662 HP 2013 but this one already had a couple of minor mods and had 650 HP to the feet. He was on his factory tires and me on my drag radials and you can see the results for yourself. I won King of the Street Pure Street division for the second week in a row so now I have two trophies and have won $100.00 each of the past two weekends.

S197.2 Mustang 2011 and Beyond / Our trip to the track last night

We had a wonderful time at Lassiter Mountain Raceway Park last night which is a 1/8 th mile track. The traction was not all that great because it rained on and off all day Saturday and the humidity was very high, lots of moisture in the air. I managed to run in the 7.80 range most of the night at over 93 mph. My drag radials spun and my 60 ft. time ranged from 1.90 to 2.10 with a couple of passes in the left lane spinning at half track. Here are a few vids of the fun !

I just bought the wife a 2011 5.0. Now we have his and her's sterling grey metalic Mustangs. One is Naughty, mine, and one is nice, her's. For a nice car her's sure does run like a scalded dog though ! LOL    ;)   Benjamin

I am a member of two local Mustang clubs here in Birmingham, AL. Southern Stangs and Magic City Mustangs, two great clubs with sites on the web. We have lots of fun and do something most every weekend. Both are on Facebook so check us out please. Benjamin

Introduce Yourself / New member saying hello

Hello all, I'm new here but have been following RPM on Facebook for some time. I have a Roush 540RH Mustang that is simply awesome. The power of this car amazes me and I have had some pretty wicked Mustangs and muscle cars in the past. Glad to be on board and hope to chat with you all from time to time. Benjamin    :)
