The reason for selling is, I sold the car prior to finishing my build. I purchased the shortblock off an S197forum member (nycmikie1) new, still wrapped in plastic from Livernois. I had it installed with used heads by a shop and there was an issue with the lash adjusters making noises. The car was only ran for a brief period to troubleshoot the heads. The motor was pulled and the heads and shortblock were inspected. There was not a mark on the motor or the heads but the lifters were replaced anyways along with the addition Livernois cam lockouts. The motor was reinstalled and the noise from the head still exists. The motor was pulled again and a stock 3v was installed while I was shopping for a new set of heads. I sold the car to buy my 03 Cobra, so I have no more use for the motor. The short block is pretty much brand new aside from about 15 minutes of run time, but the heads will probably need to be replaced.

Livernois charges nearly $7000 for the same shortblock: http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/products/4.6L-3%252dValve-298ci-Pro%252dSeries-Stroker-Shortblock.html

I will let mine go for $3500 SHIPPED/$3200 LOCAL

Group/ Club Introductions / Superior Stangs, WA & OR ONLY Mustang Club
« on: December 08, 2011, 12:29 PM »
Some of you may know me, some don't. But I help run SUperior Stangs Mustang Club. The club started in Camano Island, WA and required members to be located in WA, OR or British Columbia. Since taking on a new site we made the decision to shrink our base a little bit and changed up to OR and WA only. Right now we sport about 250 members, many of whom spend time here on rpm and are a part of NW Mustangs and Classic Fordsout of Vancouver Washington. It's kind of like a Mustang Support group (haha).

About the club/site, its definately not for everyone. We practice free speach and you will encounter rants and cursing (each user has ability to censor cursing) among other things. We do have a small list of rules that are noted in the rules/disclaimer below.

Thanks for having us Scott and Germaine!

About Superior Stangs:

We are a club of Mustang enthusiasts located strictly in Washington State and Oregon. By limiting the area of our club we are able to connect more closely with other members whether it be for shows, cruises, or just an extra hand around the shop. Being able to meet and connect with other enthusiasts is our goal. By joining this forum you are now a member of our club. It is now up to you how active you wish to be. Some members only wish to use the forum to talk about cars, and that is fine. Others may choose to attend meets and cruises or even go as far as putting Superior Stangs decals on their cars. That is also fine. It's really up to you. Welcome to the club.

Disclaimer:

This forum, although moderated, will remain a free speech forum. Members are allowed to speak their minds openly and honestly without having to worry about their posts being censored or deleted. Because of this you may encounter curse words and opinions that you may disagree with. If you understand this and wish to continue on please take the time to read the following rules. Violations of the rules will be subject to administrative decisions that can include, or lead up to a ban, either temporary or permanent.

Members:
1.   You must be located in Washington or Oregon. You live in Syria, you are getting booted.
2.   Though disagreements may happen, blatant attacks or threats towards other members will not be tolerated.
3.   No nudity in the public forums.
4.   Recognize internet sarcasm.
5.   Respect the staff. If a mod tells you you're out of line, you have two options: take it down a notch or find the door.
6. Superior Stangs does not condone illegal activities on the public highways. If members wish to discuss "street racing" they do so at their own accord. If you choose to represent our club please be mindful of others on the road. And if you sport our logo on your car and pull some stuff like these jackasses, you won't be here very long. ;)
7.  Defamatory comments about another member or about the site will NOT be tolerated. Comments like “fuck you” or “you’re a piece of shit” are NOT okay. If something is questionable, Moderators and Administrators will always give the benefit of the doubt. Your comments must be overtly degrading or defamatory in order for them to be removed.

Moderators/Staff:
1.   Everything in the members section above.
2.   Let things go. We are all adults. If there is a disagreement, let them hash it out.
3.   Porn and Spam get a hard delete, everything else gets a soft delete.
4.    DELETING CONTENT/BANNING  IS A LAST RESORT.
5.   Don't charge shit to my debit card without me knowing. ;)

WEST / Weekly Thursday Night Meet @ Blazing Onion, Mill Creek WA
« on: December 08, 2011, 12:16 PM »
15115 Main Street
Mill Creek, WA 98012-2066

Meeting @ 8PM tonight. Last week was the first meet and we had about 10 guys show up. Hoping to grow this a bit. Nice covered parking garage to stay out of the weather. The person that set up this location is "in the know" with the folks that own the location and they have given us a green light to use the garage as long as we respect the property. So if you want some good food with some stang guys on Thursday nights, feel free to swing in!
