I agree with you both, Ford should have built this one.

Maybe even more than that as this is truly a special once in a lifetime buying opportunity.

I went back to the track last weekend and ran a personal best of 7.48 at 98 mph in the 1/8th. This is our latest mod as my wife couldn't stand it any longer and we purchased her a 2012 California Special last night.

I agree with Boss man, do it germeezy1 ! After I installed all the parts I ran a couple of weekends ago and won the 7.50 class in the 1/8th mile again. I picked up almost 3 mph so I am right at 97 mph and about a tenth of a second so I am very close to the 7.50 index. I put my RS3 on the dyno to check the A/F ratio and found that I am losing almost 3 lbs. of boost above 3000 RPM. At 3000 I have over 11 lbs. of boost but it starts dropping off after that and at 6500 I am down to 9 lbs. and belt slippage is to blame. The belt tensioner is all the way extended to I need a slightly shorter belt, maybe 1" to 1 1/2" shorter and that should cure the slip.

Very nice mods all, great work !

Great vids and it looks like a successful first outing for the coupe Brandon. Having fun is the most important thing and you certainly did that. I went to the track last weekend, rained out this weekend, and managed to win the 7.50 class at my local 1/8th mile track so at least we know how to enjoy our Stangs.

Yes we are but I am wondering if it would not be cheaper to just have my engine rebuilt with forged internals ? I do really love my current RS3 and the 6R80 and can't wait for the tracks to start running on Saturday nights. I will have to call Roush and see if I can get one of the new Phase 3 RS3's with a 6R80 ?

Sounds like a nice weekend project Brandon. Good luck getting her done and post pics when complete sir. :)

I am too old to wait on such things germeezy1. If I pull the trigger I will mod immediately just like I have done with all my Stangs over the last few years. No time to wait on the warranty to run out as we may not be afloat as a Country by then ?

I do like the Aluminator engine option so it has me thinking again and that can be dangerous. LOL

I agree, the tint looks great !

The 2005 to 2009 models did not Jeff. You have to use your remote to unlock the trunk. These kits have been out for a while and why Ford did not do this from the factory is beyond me. The 2010 up models have a trunk release by the shifter.

Naughty and nice, I like both looks 1 Alibi. The GT/CS is looking good also TBC.
