Ok,just wanted to make sure,in 87 or 88 on a Suzuki Katana 1100,I saw an indicated 186 mph then ran out of gas before the Conway exit on I-5 north,oh what fun that was !

Your are indeed, a real RPMer.....the addictive rise of the tach needle is your drug!
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

I hit an indicated 184 on my TL1000r, based on tire size, and gearing it was 163 and it was redline in 6th

Most bikes and cars are pretty off as far as speedo accuracy for some reason.

The bike was on a +2 rear sprocket and a larger rear tire so the speedo was off for that reason, if nothing else.

TL1000R? How did you like the bike , I always liked these but I don't know anyone that has had one.

85 in the escort...any faster and it starts crying...120 plus in the red coupe...could have gone faster but as well as it handles i doubt it would take a curve that well lol...and we were on a local highway...probably won't do that again

Once you get over 100 mph every 10 mph is a big difference , and over 150 mph every 10 mph adds an even big difference. I am just glad that Mexico is so great at letting RPM members go fast.............. ;)

111mph for me in the quarter mile.  125mph with my dad driving (didnt have a lot of room), and honestly I dont want to push it on the street, I'm afraid of ever getting a ticket, and I can only imagine how it would screw insurance.  One day Ill make it out to maxton, or do one of the mile top speed runs, but for now I go the speed limit because when your in high school its probably when your going to do the stupidest stuff behind the wheel if you want to go fast on a public road.

I knew that was coming after I read your post. I just read between the lines and knew that had to be the answer. Since there are no other classes of cars running 300+ it was elementary my dear Watson. LOL
