A Mustang Wedding !!!

As a teenager, Vickie Sue remembers her best friend calling and asking her to come see the car her dad had just bought for her. A bright red Mustang! Vickie Sue immediately fell in love, and decided at that moment that one day she would have one of her own.

Since then she has seen the Mustang go through many changes , and her love for them has just continued to grow. In March 2009, her dream finally came true! And, in more ways than she had even imagined. Not only did Vickie Sue get her dream Mustang, but also her dream wedding to a fellow Mustang lover!

Vickie Sue and her husband, Ronnie met three years ago at their church, and were immediately drawn to one and other through their shared love of Mustangs. In 2009, she graduated from Medical Assisting school, and Ronnie bought her a Red 2002 5 speed Mustang. Vicky Sue's dream had come true. She finally had her red Mustang! Soon after, Ronnie popped the question and Vickie Sue had her Mustang man!

The next step was to find a place to have their wedding. They went to several places around St. Augustine, Florida , and although there were many beautiful venues, nothing felt right. On a whim, Ronnie suggested they call a local Ford dealership and tell them their story and ask if they would let them have a wedding on their show room floor surrounded by Mustangs!! Ronnie thought , "No way, these people are going think I am crazy!" Turns out they loved the idea.

Letti Bozard of Bozard Ford suggested they have the ceremony on a Sunday while the business was closed. They began to plan the wedding of their dreams. First, bringing in a white convertible and a black hardtop, they put a custom veil over the convertible and parked her on the brides side and a custom made black bow tie for the coupe parked on the grooms side. They used the colors in the Ford oval as their wedding colors. Vickie Sue wore a silver wedding dress and her girls wore Ford blue. There was even an incredible blue and white Shelby on the showroom floor. They took photos of the Shelby to the baker and had a cake designed to look like the car. The invitations had a Ford logo and they were also given permission to use the chrome pony. Vickie Sue even found a garter belt and wedding bands with mustangs on them.

On Feb. 21, 2010, Vickie Sue and Ronnie were married right there on the show room floor, surrounded by Mustangs and loved ones. Their dreams for a Mustang wedding came true. The moment they were announced Mr. and Mrs. the band started playing "Mustang Sally". They received a coffee table book about Mustangs that was signed by Bill Ford Jr. and some incredible upgrades for their 2002 Mustang. Someday, Vickie Sue and Ronnie hope to have a Shelby of their own, and have learned that dreams really can come true.

Nice...lol The wife and I sorta had a Mustang theme with our wedding as well. Put on our own mini car show with some real nice rides... then a cruise in the middle...haha

That is very cool. Esp how the dealership was so willing to let them use the showroom. Very nice.

Yes, we finially got our 2011 Mustang back. As you might remember we had an accident in Cocoa Beach when we went to see the last shuttle launch. She is back together and beautiful. We are going on a short vacation starting Monday to Orlando then we plan to choice and join a mustang club. Its a toss up between Jacksonville and Daytona. Just went to a pony round up in Tampa and it was awesome just like last year. We added some stripes to the mustang, now checking into some other mods. We need to get together on that story. The mustang couple has a new tag which I will post a pic of with this post. Happy trails to all you ponies out there.
