Michael Heintz, from Redondo Beach, CA., won our June 2011 RPM Member’s Rides Photo Contest with the photo above - of his awesome supercharged 2011 RTR Mustang !!! This was also our most heated and participated in RPM photo contest so far.



As you can see, the exterior is Grabber Blue with flat black RTR stripes and badging giving it one hell of a menacing appearance. He installed the RTR package featuring the aggressive front chin spoiler with aerodynamic splitter and rear diffuser but he switched out some of the mods to be more accommodating to his track needs, like installing Advan AD08 tires, which he swears are the “absolute best” when it comes to superior track performance and street driving. Even going as far to say, they are the best tires he’s ever had on any vehicle.



Not only is the appearance aggressive, but this beast is currently putting down 540-HP with help from a MagnaCharger TVS 2300 Blower from Magnuson Products and some other mods mentioned below.





His modifications include a Total Vehicle System from Hotchkis Sport Suspension that includes adjustable upper control arm, lower control arms, subframe connectors, front chassis brace, springs, sway bars, panhard bar. Other mods include Bassani Xhaust longtube headers with a full catback exhaust connected with a resonated X-pipe.



Installing the headers alone bumped it 33-HP and 29-tq.



According to Mike, “With these suspension mods, this car had a night and day difference on the race track. I am amazed every time I hit a road course or canyon road.”



If you listen very carefully, you can probably hear this Mustang tearing up a track somewhere in Southern California right now... Mike and his RTR frequent tracks such as Streets of Willow, Big Willow, Auto Club Speedway Roval and Buttonwillow Raceway along with a few local drag strips that have 1/8th and 1/4 mile tracks.



The next step is to start running E85 gas with the help of Hillbank Motorsports. “They have been very helpful in all of my research to get the parts I need for the upgrade.”
