RPM Exclusive Featured Member's Ride "69mach4218"  - Aaron Morris's 69 Mach 1
By Scott Jensen / RPM

Aaron bought his 69 Mach 1 when he was in his Freshman year of College. He had just turned 19 and was looking for a car to replace his '98 Eclipse. (Good call.) His dad, who is the Sheriff in the county Aaron lives in (1. Don't mess with Aaron. 2. If you get pulled over there, say your best friend is named Aaron Morris.), was out driving around on the county roads and came across the car sitting in a guys front yard. Aaron's dad called him, so he went up and looked at it, drove it ...and bought it the next day.

The Mach 1 still had the original paint, interior, and wheels. When Aaron brought it home, it became clear there was a lot of work that needed to be done - bare wires shorting out under the hood, flashing headlights, torn seats, and an engine that liked to leak oil a lot. After fixing all the mechanical issues and driving it for 2 years, he replaced the Magnum 500's with a set of 17x8 Torq Thrust II's. A year later, Aaron had it painted Monterey Red Tintcoat Metallic off from the Corvette paint line. After being in the paint shop for 8 months, he got the car back, and took it right over to another shop and had it rewired front to back, and the interior restored back to factory specs. Another 6 months later, Aaron had his beautiful 69 Mach 1 back on the road.

What a great story and an amazing car, any future mods planned?
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

As of now, I should be getting my Holly 670 carb (today actually), and I have a Boss 429 hood scoop on the way. I'm sure I will think of other things along the way.  >:(

Did I mention I love the 351C?

Lol. They are very good motors, and along with the C6, make a hell of a combo!  But, I really regret to inform you guys, after much stressing and thought, I have decided to sell the car and move onto bigger and better things. It's time to close this chapter of my life and open a new one..  :'(

while the terminators and new GT500's are awesome machines, you have a treasure already.  The '69 machs are beautiful cars and there are alot of people that would love to have one.  Basically what I'm saying is personally I'd stick with what you have there are far fewer classic ponys.  However I do understand that speed can often win this discussion
