RPM Community to sponsor Fox Mustang "Team SOUTHWORST" for LeMons

Big news, RPM Family !!!

A few of our own have bought a Fox Body Mustang and formed a team to participate in LeMons. That team is going to be sponsored by RPM !!!

When I say RPM, I don't mean Me, or my business partners or just Team RPM - I mean the ENTIRE RPM Family that makes up our community here. You all are part of this Mustang racing team, sharing in this adventure and all have a very important role to play if it is to succeed.

On behalf of our RPM community, I have agreed that we would collectively provide whatever help we can to sponsor our team.  The sponsorship would include donating parts, labor, funding, etc., which would come mostly from the community, our current lineup of site sponsors, and whatever new sponsors & partners we need to bring on to help with this.

And for this sponsorship of our team, the Team "SOUTHWORST" LeMons Mustang will wear RPM decals on the car, and we will have access to the team & car for our RPM coverage (articles on our build, team members, event results, photos, video etc.) - Creating our own Mustang racing team that the RPM community can follow and support.



What is "SOUTHWORST" you ask? Well, if you look at the design of the team's Fox Mustang you will see it is in the livery of Southwest Airlines. "SOUTHWORST" is a spoof on the airline and their UNIQUE flying experience There is no limit to the directions we can go with this !!! RPM / SOUTHWORST peanuts to bribe the officials, naughty flight attendant uniforms for the ladies and even actual airplace parts on the Mustang.

Hi folks, my name is Matt Smith, one of the pilots here on flight 324.  And, on behalf of your Southworst Racing flight crew I would like to welcome you onboard!  Please refrain from talking, take the safety card from the seat-pocket in front of you, and follow along… 

You will be flying onboard a Boeing 737 jet [er, um… I mean a 1985 Mustang GT].  We will be taking off from Sears Point Raceway (a.k.a. Infineon) on March 24, 2012 at 1030 hours, and cruising at speeds in excess of 80 knots.  We are scheduled to land on March 25, 2012 at approximately 1700 hours. 

And, don’t forget to grab your bag upon arrival, otherwise, it’s gone… because at SOUTHWORST Racing, we’re “The Best of the Worst”, and “Just Plane Stupid”!  Of course, the reality of it is, you’ll be lucky if we even get you there!
