It’s easy to look at a car like the 2013 Shelby GT500 and forget that it’s not just built by a company but by dozens of hard working people who have spent months ensuring that the finished product is as good as it can possibly be. In the case of the GT500, though, we would tend to argue that the group of people who developed it are a little more special than most. The folks over at Ford’s Special Vehicle Team aren’t just your ordinary collection of engineers. Many have been fans of the Mustang since they were kids and are incredibly passionate about what they do. They’re also quite talented – successfully designing and bringing to market the fastest and most powerful Mustang to ever come from Ford.
