Props & Ponies 2012 - Saturday August 18th at Heritage Flight Museum

The annual Heritage Flight Museum Ford Mustang and P-51 Car & Show is on again. The show includes a cruise from Seattle to Bellingham, a Wine, Beer & Cheese tasting event and a car & air show at Bellingham International Airport on the tarmac. Props & Ponies :: Bellingham’s Mustang-Mustang Show
3rd Saturday in August @ HFM

In 2010, Heritage Flight Museum teamed up with experienced car show organizers to put on the first all-Mustang show in the region, featuring 100 Ford Mustangs and the P-51 Mustang…. and it was a resounding success! Over 1000 people visited HFM on a beautiful, sunny day devoted entirely to horsepower and good-looks! 2011 was equally successful, with the addition of a local wine/beer/food showcase aptly named ‘Props, Ponies & Popping Corks’, held the evening prior to the show.

2012′s event is already in the works, and with Props & Ponies quickly becoming the most unique Mustang-owner show in the region to attend, you’re not going to want to miss out!

2011 Participating ‘tasters’: James Leigh Cellars, Casa Ventura Imports, Flyers Brewery, Airfield Estates Winery and Masquerade Wine Company – wine available for purchase by the bottle at this event. With nibbles: Quel Fromage cheeses, Avenue Bread & olive oils straight from Spain!
2011 Music: Chico’s Paradise jazz trio, featuring Scot Ranney (piano), Andy Simmons (bass) and Grant Wilson (drums)
Please note: this wine tasting & fund raising event is for individuals over 21 years of age.

2011 Food Vendor: Hilltop Restaurant,  from 11:00-3:00 (for purchase)
Public Admission: $5/adult, $3/child suggested donation
Parking: Handicap only & drop off in the small HFM lot, free parking on the grass at NE corner of Mitchell Way & Bakerview, $1/hour in any of the Port’s airport parking lots (first 30 minutes free)

Show Date: Saturday, 18 August 2012 – Registered vehicles ONLY.   
Day-Of Arrival Time: 8:00-9:00am. Access to the airfield is restricted. We must get 85 cars through the gate as quickly and safely as possible. Your cooperation and patience is a MUST.
Registration price: $25/vehicle, limited to one vehicle per household

What to Expect:
   
85 Ford Mustangs will be on display on the tarmac at HFM. From vintage to modern, stock to modified, there will be something for everyone!
   
Flights will be conducted throughout the day, some solo and some formation. These flights will be conducted in accordance with all of the standard flight rules at the airport – which means that there will be no special aerobatic displays or restricted air space. Our pilots always fly under the direction of the air traffic controllers and fit their passes into the general and commercial traffic here at Bellingham International.
   
Please leave your pets at home or in a well-ventilated vehicle… Service animals excepted.
   
There is likely to be a lot of aircraft movement during the day, so please follow the instructions of our volunteer ramp crew… they are there to guard everyone’s safety!

Bring your cameras and your questions! Photograph your favourite airplane and car… have a picture taken with the pilot… talk to Veteran’s about their experiences. This is a great opportunity to see living history! We hope you enjoy your visit with us!

I'll be there for the third year in a row!!  One of my fav shows of the year... I seem to always try and get some special things finished to show off at this show.  Hmmm wonder what it will be this year... or will I finally have it all done before then..lol  There going to be Chevy Piston Trophies again?  lol

2012 Props & Ponies On-line registration is live and accepting registrations NOW !!!

This year Props & Ponies will be August 18th.

We are only taking 85 registrations this year due to space restrictions on the ramp of the airfield so you will need to get in fast. 2010 sold out in less than 48 hours. So if you have friends who also want to come, let them know NOW !!!

We are also limiting payments to online which means Credit, Debit or Paypal. We have confirmed with EventBrite that they will accept Canadian means of payment. If there are issues - let Kate know (her email is included) and she will ensure you get registered.

This year there is no restriction on how many mustangs can come from your household - so we have made it easy and you can register up to 4 vehicles at a time.

We did the full Props N Ponies cruise route today. It was awesome, with beautiful weather and scenery. This cruise is gonna be fun and give you guys n gals a full days worth of great cruising !!!

Man, I wish that I could go. But I will be recovering from surgery on Thursday.  So far, the weather looks great!

Countdown to the 2012 Props & Ponies Show !!!

We are super excited for this year's show !!! If you are even remotely close and can make it to the cruise on Friday to Whidbey Island or the main event on Saturday, you will not regret it.



You will see some awesome Ford Mustangs, multiple P-51 Mustang WWll fighter planes, and possibly win some amazing trophies and prizes there as well !!!

Awesome!! Now all i have to do is get some sleep!! We'll be down there early for breakfast at Ihop at 6:30 in bellingham. Then off to the show!
